Recommendation

SwiMetrics recommended the following drills to help improve this young player's swimming technique, both for swimming and water polo:

1. Swim holding tennis ball between his chest and chin.
2. Do rotation drills: six kicks on the left side – one arm stroke – rotate on the right side – six kicks on the right side. Use his hips to rotate from one side to another.
3. Do pull drills by holding pull buoy between his ankles.
4. Swim with head up using small paddles with a focus on an early catch.
5. Kick butterfly and freestyle in the vertical position, alternatively sets with both arms on his chest, one arm straight up in the air, and both arms straight up in the air.
6. Kick against a Thera-band loop (yellow or green resistance).
7. Kick with tennis shoes.
